Talents
Engineering: Dee is very mechanically-inclined thanks to a lifetime of encountering vastly varied technology on her voyages. She can operate almost any machine.
Repair/Tinkering: While using The Fixer as a tool, Dee can repair almost any mechanical device or gadget. She rolls Intuition, and succeeds on Green or higher.
Sleight-Of-Hand: Dee is skilled enough to palm a man's necktie while stealing his watch, and then slip them into his pocket before he notices. She excels at card tricks, wins at the shell game, and stuffs quarters into every ear. This just raises more questions about her background.
Gadgetry: Dee can MacGyver up new gadgets from spare parts, provided she has the resources and use of The Fixer. She rolls Intuition, with partial success on Green and total success with a higher roll.
Knowledge: Narrative Causality: Dee's knowledge of the dramatic is vast. This is important, considering that it's her job.
Knowledge: Quantum Physics: Dee's knowledge of the secret innermost workings of the universe is vast, which aids her in her adventures across space and time.

Quirks & Flaws
Narrative Causality: For all her good intentions, Dea X. Machina is tied to the Laws of Narrative Causality. If it makes for a good story, she will attempt to tip the scales. And sometimes, she will stay out of a bad situation because intervening would harm its dramatic value.
Meddler: Dee prefers to oversee, meddle, or otherwise stay in the background rather than take part in direct combat.

Powers
Temporal Slide: Dee travels through space and time by sliding between layers of quantum reality. She easily slips from assignment to assignment across the cosmos with what is essentially teleportation, only way more stylish. She can teleport to locations she already knows or those with coordinates provided for her. She "lands" with both feet on the ground, in a clear space. Dee cannot "clip" into walls, objects, or living beings - she will instead appear next to them rather than collide.
She can take objects with her, but passengers are limited by The Rules Of Narrative Causality. Under normal circumstances, Dee can only transport one other person if in two-handed contact. But under special circumstances - specifically when it would make a good story - Dee can gain clearance from her superiors to transport more people through space and time. This power is the only one of hers that does not backfire.
(NOTE: When Dee leads other characters on adventures using this power, she often returns them to the moment in which they left. This keeps them from being "tied up" in plots, and helps them remain available for general play. If something status-changing happens to them on the mission, it will be reflected in reality after it is RPed. The delayed effect is due... to quantum stuff.)
Spatial Lock: By using the same power source that allows her to Slide, Dee can temporarily desync her opponents from reality and place them in a sort of stasis. She rolls Fighting. On a success, the target skips and is considered helpless for one turn. On a failure of green or above, nothing happens. On a gray roll, the effect automatically backfires and the target can instead make two full turns with no penalties.
Press Your Luck: By using the Cracked Cosmos, Dee can alter the laws of probability themselves! But due to the cosmic gem's nature, she only has limited control over the outcome.
Once per combat, she can make ONE enemy or ONE ally re-roll a single die. The enemy or ally will then be forced to take the second roll, regardless of the result.
Bribe the Cosmic Referee: By using the Cracked Cosmos to tap into the laws of causality, Dee can warp the fabric of the universe to potentially give her ally an edge. However, due to the cracks in her ring, the outcome is random.
Whenever two other characters are engaged in combat, she can give one an edge of +1CS to all rolls, and penalize the other by -1CS to all rolls. However, the outcome is randomized - both combatants will roll 1d100 with no modifiers, and the higher number gains the advantage. She can perform this once per per combat, and it lasts for the duration of that combat.

Personality - Subject to revision based on RP Being mercurial and mysterious is her job, and she performs it with relish! Sometimes she lacks patience. Often she lacks patience. But her mastery of narrative causality is at its peak, and she sharply directs people as needed. Dea X. Machina is not cruel, though sometimes her sarcasm can take on a biting edge. Her heart is warm at its core, and she really seems like the kind of person who would impersonate a ghost just to make sure an old miser learns about Christmas.
History - Who is she? Where does she come from? Perhaps human, perhaps a former human, perhaps something else entirely, Dea Xandra Machina - "Dee" to her friends - is an agent of the Mysterious Forces of Narrative Causality. These cosmic entities oversee the universe, and make sure that Things Are As They Should Be. Evil emperors are deposed by their long-lost farmboy sons. Star-crossed lovers first meet cute and then have multiple silly misunderstandings before finding true love. Misers learn the true meaning of Christmas. Million-to-one chances always happen. Their agents work across the cosmos, serving in their various tasks.
Dee's job is to be a massive, meddling cosmic do-gooder - to help the unfortunate, right wrongs, and support heroes. And so she meddles. Sometimes she takes a direct hand in heroism, and other times she merely enables it. Often, she takes people on adventures in time and space, teaching them about life and love by making them fight killer alien robots. You know, normal stuff.

Equipment
The Cracked Cosmos
Dea X. Machina wears a ring. Set into this ring is a tiny cracked and flawed gem, which is a minor cosmic item and her symbol of office. It connects directly to her unknown superiors and is the source of most of her powers, her intel and mission assignments, and her Slide coordinates.
The Fixer
Dee's walking stick is her most useful tool. It can unlock doors, turn on or deactivate machinery, hack into various computer systems, and is otherwise instrumental in repairing or MacGyvering machines. In combat, The Fixer can be used to can shock her enemies with mild jolts of electric energy (Melee, roll Fighting, 10 damage).
Ziegfried
Despite its old-fashioned clockwork appearance, Dee's fancy watch-face bracelet is actually a powerful cosmic supercomputer, which she can use for research. Ziegfried can supply information on almost anything, though it does not always provide it when asked. Ziegfried also anchors her perception to the current moment and location in space-time, keeping her from becoming lost or being late to an appointment. Research rolls are at Remarkable, with absolute success on yellow and red, partial success on green, and misleading results on gray.
