Character Name: Quantum Singularity
Player Name: Conall
Alias: Matthew Arthur Sinclair-Smith
Family/Allies/Friends:
Age: 30
Archetype: Scientist-turned-Superhero
Description:A dapper British gentleman, just a hair shy of six feet tall and carrying a build that shows both the effort of taking good care of himself and the sleepless, unforgiving nights that super-science is prone to. Sinclair-Smith's usual attire is a lab coat over a vest-and-slacks combination. He prefers muted, neutral tones and keeps his chestnut brown hair trimmed down and out of his way, but it usually ends up being rather wild because he doesn't bother to do anything with it. As Quantum Singularity, his suit is almost entirely black, with a streak of dark blue along the waistline like a belt. His head is completely covered by the suit's fabric, and the eye portions are the same color as the rest of the garment, giving his face a distant, almost inhuman look to it. (He can see normally, of course.) The palms of his hands and the bottoms of his feet are a lighter, grayer tone, and his palms have visible microcircuitry and a small, silvery metallic disc in the center, the only exposed portion of the gravity inducers that he uses for his superpowers.

Grav-Suit: An outfit incorporating revolutionary prototypical machinery made with rare synthetic materials. Passively provides Good protection against nonmagical damage and if powered on, increases all physical stats by +1 CS due to the passive gravity field.
The powers below are specific uses of the suit, requiring a yellow Reasoning check to figure out each one if someone wears it without having it explained to them.
*Complexity - The innate complexity of the grav suit makes it difficult to 'break', with redundant electronics and emergency contingencies. Only a Remarkable or higher Reasoning or relevant power can attempt to break or weaken the suit, and the suit automatically ignores the first successful attempt per mission to do this.
*Flight - Allows flight at Poor airspeed with Agility maneuverability, or Incredible speeds in a straight line.
*Super Lift - Amazing lift. Able to lift up to 5 tons by reducing the weight. This does not translate into striking power.
*Gravity Lock - Due to the ability to remove the weight of an opponent touched, gains a +2CS to Grappling checks.
*Gravity Suplex - Usable on a Grappled enemy. Rolled on Fighting, deals Incredible (40) damage that ignores armor, or can roll Amazing to cause an instant Knockdown on a success.
*Gravity Sphere - Able to maintain an area of intense gravity of Incredible strength, rolled on creation of the sphere. Anyone inside must beat this roll with a Strength check to take action. This is maintained for as long as he holds it in place, and up to 3 people can be trapped inside if they are close together. If used on a knocked down enemy, that status is replaced with the gravity lock. Quantum cannot move while holding the sphere in place, and anyone who gets too close to those trapped will get sucked in.
*Linear Cannon - Launches an object from the size of a penny to a maximum of 2 tons as a weapon. This deals from Excellent (20) to Amazing (50) damage depending on the size and lethality of the object, or adds +1CS to the damage of a thrown weapon. Objects small enough to fit in one hand can be volleyed with a standard ranged attack roll.
*Repulsor Armor - Armor VS physical damage is passively increased to Excellent. This can be further increased to Incredible, but doing so makes it impossible to touch anything without it being violently repelled.
*Event Horizon - A rather silly trick that momentarily saps all light from a wide area centered on the suit. This turns off all other functions of the suit and lasts until another ability is used, which instantly releases all absorbed light in a very bright flash.

Back Story: Hard work pays off, and Matt Sinclair-Smith worked very, very hard. His degree in physics from Oxford was just the first step on that path, and after a late night of pints of bitter and a few too many sci-fi comics, he grew more and more curious as to the potential of gravity modification and manipulation. Finding a relatively cheap and small way of altering gravitic fields could lead to vast leaps and bounds in not only travel, but construction, metallurgy, and crop production. Unfortunately for him, his work attracted the eye of the Kingpin, masquerading as a philanthropist, and soon, Matt discovered that his work was being reverse-engineered into some sort of armored powersuit. What happened next was certifiably crazy, but perhaps the small hint of Irish blood in his veins gave him enough luck to pull off an incredibly foolish jaunt into the facility producing the prototype. His innate familiarity with the gravity induction tech gave him enough of an advantage that, by the time the Kingpin's goons found him, they were too late and the roof was collapsing in on their heads. So far, Sinclair-Smith's true identity is protected from the crime lord's influence, and the scientist-turned-superhero takes pains to hide his secret, including using a false American accent instead of his natural Received Pronunciation and puns that make his blood run cold. Quantum Singularity is a new superhero on the block, and his fame and reputation are still virtually nonexistent, but he already has a powerful enemy who wants his property back. Thankfully, for now, Matt has managed to stay ahead in the technological arms race, adapting his suit to be hardened against attempts to interfere with its advanced tech. For now.
